Adelle Avenue Gravity Sewer/Spring Hill Sewer
Type: Wastewater
Project Manager: Brad T. Blais, P.E.
Owner: City of DeLand
Proposed construction would consist of a new 6 feet inside diameter (7.33 feet outside diameter), 20-feet deep wet well. Anticipated foundation consists of a reinforced structural slab foundation. Neither proposed top elevation nor finish bottom elevation were known at the time of this report; however, it is assumed the proposed top elevation would be at or slightly above existing elevations. Approximately 8,000 lineal feet of eight-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) gravity sewer line is proposed within the right-of-way of Adelle Avenue and along the rights-of-way of various side streets within the project area. Preliminary plans call for pipes to be bedded in native soils. Anticipated depth of soil cover over the pipes will reportedly range from a minimum of 5 feet to a maximum of 12 feet. The proposed construction would consist of several 4-feet diameter precast concrete manhole structures with concrete bases. Typically, these manholes will be located approximately every 300 feet along the proposed gravity sewer line. Proposed top elevation for the manholes was not known at the time of this report; however, it is assumed the proposed top elevation would be at or slightly above existing elevations.
