| Installation of three fiber-reinforced plastic baffle walls inside the existing recarbonation basin to provide under / over / under diversion of water flow, relocating the existing chlorine injection point near the entrance of the recarbonation basin, relocating the existing ammonia injection point near the exit of the recarbonation basin, installing a solid 1/8-inch thick aluminum plate cover over the existing grating and the relocation of the carbon dioxide control panel to the filter control room.
Inspection and replacement of filter drain tiles as needed, removal of the existing filter mixed-media and replacement with new gravel / anthracite material, replacement of approximately one-fourth of the existing filter troughs and supports as needed, installation of a solid aluminum panel roof with 8 foot high sides covered with 24 mesh screen. Only one (1) of the three filters were taken out of operation at any time for repairs leaving the other two filters fully operational.
