N. Bracco Stormwater Facility Phase I
Type: Stormwater
Project Manager: David A. King, P.E.
Owner: City of Cocoa
Construction of a regional stormwater treatment and reclaimed water augmentation facility. Three interconnected stormwater ponds provides treatment, via wet detention, for a 1,000 +/- acre drainage basin. The project consisted of three (3) new ponds cascading from a higher elevation into an existing pond before discharging into an outfall to the Indian River. Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will use stormwater treatment “credits” in the ponds to widen U.S. Highway 1 in this area. Additionally, excess treatment credits will be available to property owners within the basin for expansion of their facilities.
